The Rakiura Track is a 32km loop on Stewart Island / Rakiura, New Zealand's third-largest island. The track passes through coastal forest and along sheltered beaches, with a good chance of spotting kiwi at dusk. It's the most southerly Great Walk and one of the quieter options, but hut bookings for peak months still fill up.
