Rottnest Island (Wadjemup) is a car-free island 19km off the coast of Perth, famous for quokkas, pristine beaches, and crystal-clear bays. Accommodation is managed exclusively by Stay Rottnest and ranges from heritage cottages and premium units at Thomson Bay to hostel dorms at Kingstown and tent sites at the campground. Peak season and school holidays sell out months ahead — especially the beachfront cottages and family-sized units. Cancellations do come up as travel plans change.
